Cheverells Farm | Breakfast Destination in Elgin Valley

There is something about that lazy weekend breakfast, the first sip of artfully brewed coffee and hopefully some kind of view to enjoy that makes me happy. Is there any meal more comforting than breakfast?

In the heart of the Elgin Valley, Cheverells Farm offers a wholesome, fresh-air escape just an hour from the city, where an old 1960s apple-packing shed has been transformed into an exquisite new venue for private functions and weddings, daytime dining, retail therapy, and wellness. Wanna make a weekend of it? Stay at their self-catering farm cottages offering guests tranquility with beautiful backdrop views over the apple orchards.

Now add a tranquil country setting with sunny side up views of verdant vineyards, majestic mountains, apple and pear orchards and you have the makings of picture perfection. The indoor setting is stylish, light, bright and airy. Weaved baskets hanging from the roof and serve as accents to create a chic countryside look and feel with big open windows to soak in nature’s beauty.

“The Country Café at Cheverells offers fresh and vibrant celebration of flavours derived from nature and the abundant life on an Elgin apple farm. The menu is seasonal and designed by Gourmet Chef Laura Truter.”

The delicious selection of morning bites includes a moreish Truffle Scramble. Creamy scrambled eggs, served with truffle mushrooms, spring onions, mozzarella, slices of avocado, wild rocket and a toasted croissant. This breakfast is so delicious, you don’t even miss that piece of bacon!

If a farm-style breakfast is more your thing then opt for The Cheverells Full Shed. It comes with free-range eggs, potato rosti, cannellini beans and tomato, pork and sage home-made sausage, crispy bacon, pan-fried kale, slow-cooked shallots, served on a toasted sour dough bread.

The gift shop is brimmed with interesting local trinkets, carefully sourced gifts and treats. An exciting range of gifts catering to a wide spectrum of taste and styles.

Be sure to try a glass of an Elgin Valley wine or a local L-Gin apple-flavoured craft gin – and visit the glass greenhouse nursery to discover a rainbow of flowers and house plants, along with stylish gardening tools and décor. Awesome for the green fingered gardening enthusiasts.
