It’s Vivaldi in a Glass with Creation Viognier 2021, perfectly paired to delight the taste buds with Curry Sea Salt Popcorn. A light snack that plays and excite the palate in anticipation of what’s to come.
Chapter 1: Resonance
Vivaldi in a glass is how Creation’s Viognier is described and pairs beautifully with the Guinea Fowl Terrine served with a delicious Gluten-free Seed Mosbolletjie, delicate and crispy Bratzeli and Pickled Viognier Grapes. The Creation Viognier 2021 is delightful on the nose showing expressive fruity and floral notes. It’s a vivacious wine, abundantly fruity and forthcoming yet elegant and refined.
Chapter 2: Passion
Minerality Rules with Creation Sauvignon Blanc 2021. Enticing aromas of tropical fruit combined with minerality. This follows through on the palate with a crisp acidity and leaves you with a lingering, memorable aftertaste. Tasting wine is a truly sensory experience. Smelling a passion fruit enhances the tropical aromas of the Sauvignon Blanc. When you hold a seashell up to your ear, you hear the quiet roar of waves crashing on a beach. As you take a sip of the wine, imagine enjoying a glass of Sauvignon Blanc on the beach with the soothing sounds of the waves and the sand between your toes.
Delicious and delicate Steamed Hake, topped with a Turmeric Tahini Dressing, Mustard Cress and thinly sliced Pak Choi. Served with a flavourful Dashi broth and lime. Perfectly paired with Ocean’s Gift Creation Sauvignon Blanc/Semillon 2020. An invigorating salty bouquet is complemented by the fresh tropical fruit flavours from the Sauvignon Blanc and the lovely lanolin-like character from the Semillon.
Chapter 3: Innovation
Who can resist Pork Belly? Tender and juicy Pork Belly is served on top of a smooth Celeriac Purée, Kombucha and Lime Gel and finished off with Grilled Celeriac and Pickled Apple to elevate this dish. The Creation Reserve Chardonnay 2021 complements this dish with its refined and lovely minerality and spice notes as well as apple and citrus fruits. This is sophisticated with attractive fruit and good acidity.
Chapter 4: Charisma
This is harvest and terroir on a plate. A burst of flavour in every bite from the Overberg Lamb beautifully plated on a bed of Barley and Chimichurri made from chopped vine leaves. Garnished on top with Pea Shoots and crunchy Deep-fried Vine Leaves for a rustic and nutty taste that complements the Red Velvet Creation Reserve Pinot Noir with its fragrant bouquet of berry aromas and a whiff of wood spice. A superbly balanced wine with a lingering, memorable aftertaste.
Chapter 5: Alchemy
Nothing satisfies the sweet tooth like a delectable dessert, and on top of it all, without the guilt. Vegan and Gluten-Free Olive Oil Cake with Roast Sweet Potato and Coconut Gelato. Served with a Chocolate Bratzeli and Coffee Sauce. Paired with the sweet temptation of the Creation Fine Cape Vintage. It is a well-balanced dessert wine with the sweetness beautifully lifted by crisp fruitiness.
This cheese plate pays tribute to the cheesemakers of the region, offering as an alternative a delicious selection of locally made cheeses, paired with Creation Roussanne, Viognier 2020 for an added elegant freshness and finesse.
Chapter 6: Déjà Vu
Decadent and indulgent Cape Vintage Praline pairs beautifully with the sweet temptations of Creation Fine Cape Vintage Port.
