Franschhoek Culinary Collective

More Gourmet Gold On Offer As Franschhoek Launches New Foodie Event: The ‘Culinary Collective’

Set for Friday, 28 October 2022, a new showcase of chef brilliance and ode to all things local hits center stage for this historic town, in the first annual ‘Culinary Collective’ event, hosted at Leopard’s Leap Family Vineyards.

The event lineup focuses on all things local, with the spotlight firmly on winemakers and produce grown right from the abundant Franschhoek Wine Valley.

Patrons, oenophiles and lovers of fine food are invited to attend this exclusive, relaxed lunch – offering the chance to meet some of SA’s biggest chef names and join in the conversation around the origins of good food with the local farmers and suppliers.

The Franschhoek Wine Valley, now known as the Valley Of Dreams, continues to deliver on its namesake as the culinary capital of South Africa.

With Reuben Riffel, David Schneider, Darren Badenhorst, Richard Carstens and Chris Erasmus proudly at the forefront of this year’s lineup, organisers of the event see the ‘Culinary Collective’ growing from strength to strength in the future as they use this platform to showcase other top local and international chefs.

Guests will enjoy five courses, each presented by one of the celebrity chefs and in discussion with a choice local artisan or supplier. Furthermore, local wine estates are presented course by course- perfectly paired with bread course, starters, mains and something sweet. Arrival canapes by Leopard’s Leap Chef Christiaan and a glass of Cap Classique from Haute Cabriere kick things off on the perfect note.
